Christopher Henry Morris
- Role : Bowling allrounder
- Bat : Right-hand bat
- Bowls : Right-arm fast-medium
- DOB : April 30, 1987, Pretoria, Transvaal
Morris picked up his pace in the cricket world very late. He made his First Class debut for North West at the age of 22 in 2009. He had already established himself in the year 2011-12 as their leading bowler. He came out as the highest wicket-taker in the domestic T20 competition with 21 wickets. This splendid performance helped him make it to the T20I squad which was touring Zimbabwe. Alhough he didn't play any game on that tour yet he gained useful knowledge from Allan Donald.
Chris Morris arrived late to the field of cricket but finished off quite really well. Morris was bought by Chennai Super Kings during the 2013 IPL auctions for US$650,000. He commented that he had "never seen so much money". Morris went on to play a crucial role in getting Chennai to the final of the IPL where they lost to Mumbai Indians.
Morris delivers a fine seam line when combined with the likes of Sohail Tanvir and Dirk Nannes, and take the team to final of the competition. On the basis of that tournament, he was one of the big buys of IPL and went to Chennai Super Kings for more than 31 times his price.
