Morris Amollo Ouma

Maurice Amollo Ouma is a Kenyan right-handed batsman and a wicketkeeper. He has been playing for the Kenyan cricket team since the year 2000. Ouma was a part of the Kenyan U-19 squad and got a chance to play in the U-19 World Cups in both 2000 and 2002. He played in the ICC Six Nations Challenge in which Kenya emerged victorious in the finals at Windhoek. He also played in the Sharjah Cup which took place in 2003. He was described as a star in the making by Hossain Ayub, an African Development manager for the ICC.
Ouma was part of the Kenyan team for the ICC Intercontinental Cup final that took place in in the year 2005, but Kenya lost the match, in spite of centuries scored by Steve Tikolo and Hitesh Modi. Ouma was recently a part of a three-game ODI series in 2006 that was against Bangladesh. He is a strong player and his consistency and focus have led him from a lower-middle order batsman to an opening batsman. He has been applauded for his cricket skills by many critics and fans.
