Moen Munir Ali, commonly known as Moeen Ali, is an English national team cricketer, who as of today, represents in all the three formats of the game. He is a left-handed middle order batsman who can provide stability when in need or score some quick runs if the situation demands so. He can also chip in with some off-break and is pretty much known for his knack of breaking set partnerships. He was named one of the cricketers of the year in Wisden Cricketer’s Almanac in 2015 for his stellar performance in all the three formats of the game.
Moeen Ali was born in Birmingham and has two siblings, Kadeer Ali and Omar Ali, of which Kadeer too is a cricketer who mostly represents county teams. Moeen is of mixed descent and of Pakistani origin. One of the most talented youngsters, Moeen started his county career at a very young age of just 15 years and even hit a century before he turned 16. He then went on to represent his nation at the under-19 level the very same year and has since represented his nation on every stage.
