Joseph Charles Buttler, commonly referred to as just Jos Buttler, is an English national team player. He is a wicket keeper batsman by trade and has featured heavily for his side in the international cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and is currently the vice captain of the English national team. He represents Somerset in the county cricket and has been an active participant in Australia’s Big Bash League, the Indian Premier League, and the Bangladesh Premier League.
Born in Taunton, Somerset, Buttler featured heavily in the U-13s, the U-15s, and the U-17 sides of Somerset. His talent was apparent quite early and was validated by the fact that he was awarded Young Wisden School Cricketer of the year award in 2010. A tall and well-built cricketer, Jos has an upright stance in the crease and is known to hit the ball hard and straight. A fairly attacking player, he can control the flow of the match if the circumstances demand so. He is an integral member of the current English national squad.
